As the Technical Services Technician Australia for Blutip Power Technologies you will be responsible for providing technical and installation support for our product based engineering solutions. In this role you will interface directly with the customer and the Engineering team and will need to be able to identify and respond to customer needs in an effective and resolute manner.

Key Responsibilities

The following, but are not limited to:

  • Perform safe and correct customer installations of our blutip power control technology products globally, as required
  • Sharp understanding of product knowledge
  • Maintain and manage monitoring of results for all installed systems in Australasia through internal Hy-Trend program; possible monitoring of global installs as required, where time permitting
  • Provide technical support to customers, in Australasia on a continuous basis as required
  • Service and repair tasks in the field
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical concerns
  • Administrative procedures - scheduling activities to meet customer requirements
  • Act as technical support for customers and provide feedback to Engineering Product Design Team
  • Support local sales teams with technical support for customer sales
  • Installation manual development
  • Develop training materials for internal team and for customers who require technical training on the product
  • Training requirements (travel to HQ in Canada for training)
  • Other duties as assigned

Business / Technical Skills & Experience

As the successful candidate, it is essential that you possess the following qualifications, experience and skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of heavy duty diesel engines , as applicable to on-road and off-road; preference will be given to someone with electrical and mechanical experience
  • Knowledge of machinery, mechanical aptitude a MUST
  • Hydraulic fitting knowledge is an asset
  • Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting ability
  • Must be able to provide hands on work with fuel systems, and vehicle electrical wiring systems
  • Schematic review/reading is a must for electrical systems, and potentially hydraulic/fuel systems
  • Strong problem solving skills, resourceful and able to work efficiently unsupervised
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to travel internationally is a must
  • Valid/current passport
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills - clear and concise
  • Excellent interpersonal and organization skills
